Ibiza is not just a destination. It is a community with deep roots — fishermen, farmers, artists, families who shaped the island long before it became a global brand. Their stories exist mostly in memory. Unrecorded, untranslated, at risk of disappearing.

A living cultural archive in six languages. AI-assisted transcription, a Ghost CMS foundation, three membership tiers, and a registered association in the making.

I conceived it, built it, and consider it one of the most meaningful projects I’ve worked on.

2023 VISTOR APP

The press industry runs on images — but the tools haven’t kept up. Getty, Shutterstock, Adobe Stock: all built around archives, catalogues, and licensing models designed for yesterday’s workflow. Not for the journalist on deadline who needs a current, authentic image of a specific moment, right now.

V¡STOR was conceived as a real-time marketplace for current press photography — a live exchange connecting photographers in the field directly with editorial teams, bypassing the stock model entirely.

In 2023 I developed in Berlin the concept, validated the market potential, and secured a cooperation agreement with TrustNXT. Development costs were estimated at €200–300K. At the time, the technical stack — blockchain components, complex API architecture — made the build financially difficult to justify. AI-assisted development hadn’t yet changed the equation.

Conversations with Google confirmed the concept had legs. The technology has since caught up. V¡STOR remains an open chapter.

2019-2023 • MaHalla Berlin

Europe’s first three-phase power plant, built in 1897 — a technical sensation of its era. A listed industrial monument in Berlin-Oberschöneweide. Two halls. A permit for 1,800 people. 8,600m² of raw space waiting for a vision.

I was part of the team that helped turn it into MaHalla — a living cultural complex with event spaces, art installations, studios and offices under one roof.

A project where architecture, culture, and ambition had to speak the same language.

2005 -2006 • Café Moskau Berlin

A listed DDR-era landmark in the heart of Berlin. A high-end wellness concept. €18M investor commitment secured.

I initiated the project and brought together an exceptional team — interior design by Nik Schweiger / 3deluxe, the studio behind Sven Väth’s legendary CocoonClub, and architecture by HSH Hoyer Schindele Hirschmüller — one of Berlin’s most respected practices for the transformation of listed buildings.

The property was awarded elsewhere despite a preliminary contract. 
The project didn’t happen. The team was exceptional.
That’s the one that taught me the most.
